COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS SHOPPE
THE LARGEST TOY GIVEAWAY IN VENTURA COUNTY.
Community Christmas Shoppe is a holiday tradition in Ventura County. This event serves under-resourced families by providing toys for Christmas. We partner with local social service agencies to find families otherwise unable to afford Christmas presents for their children and invite them to “shop” for toys at no personal cost.
Join us in serving your local community! The Disability Shoppe will be held on December 7th, and the Simi Valley, Conejo Valley, Oxnard and Ventura Shoppes will be held on December 14th. Sign-ups are coming November 1st.
HOW WE SERVE:
Every year, 2,000 families are served through a Community Christmas Shoppe. Families are given tickets to attend through local social service agencies and churches.
Nearly 15,000 gifts are given away each year through Community Christmas Shoppe, making it the largest toy giveaway in Ventura County. Parents can shop for their child's preferred gift, with a selection of items ranging from bicycles to books!
Hundreds of volunteers come together to make this a fun and festive event for the families we serve! Volunteers assist with everything from helping our families select gifts, gift wrapping and more.
Six Christmas Shoppe are held throughout Ventura County. Conejo Valley, Simi Valley, Ventura and Oxnard host shoppes for the community, while Westlake Village hosts a shoppe for children with disabilities and Camarillo holds a Military shoppe.
Our mission is to provide families with a community of support that will outlast the holiday season. Families are assisted by volunteers that get to know them, pray with them, and help them connect to a church or a social service agency.
There are many ways to get involved with Community Christmas Shoppe. Join a shoppe leadership team, host a toy box at your church, school or business, become a financial sponsor, or sign up to volunteer!
