Love VC (Ventura County) is a county-wide event that brings acts of service to communities in need. On one day, thousands of volunteers from churches, businesses, and agencies come together to complete projects for their neighbors.
The first-ever Love VC (known then as Serve Day) took place in 2005 when a handful of volunteers from local churches came together to serve in their neighborhoods. Since then, nearly 2,000 volunteers make a lasting impact on those in need every year. And the relationships made on Love VC have deepened throughout the year!
Nearly 8,000 Ventura County neighbors are impacted by Love VC projects. Projects assist seniors, homeless residents, under-resourced families, and people with disabilities.
1,900 volunteers from across Ventura County serve together. Families, co-workers, friends, and church members work side by side and bring their unique skills to each project.
Love VC projects range from yard clean up for a senior couple to mural painting at local elementary school. In 2019, 111 projects were held at 71 project sites!
Churches, businesses and agencies partner together to make a lasting impact for those in need. In 2019, 57 organizations sponsored projects in their neighborhoods.
