OUR COMMUNITY, OUR WORK.
We have had another successful year, thanks to you! 14,000+ neighbors were cared for, 4,200+ volunteers gave back to their communities, and 290+ community organizations partnered together.
COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS SHOPPE
In December, we hosted five Community Christmas Shoppes in Ventura County to help under-resourced families provide Christmas gifts for their children in a fun and festive event. Over 1,300 volunteers assisted with everything from personal shopping to hospitality and entertainment for our guests. 4,600+ children were shopped for and 15,000 gifts were given!
Over 900 volunteers served with us throughout the year completing 200+ repair, gardening, painting and moving projects for Ventura County neighbors. Our accessibility teams completed 8 ramp builds, 3 stair modifications, and 3 grab bar installations for seniors, amputees, and those with disabilities. By serving together, 400+ neighbors in need received help with critical projects!
On June 1st, nearly 2,000 volunteers from over 80 churches, businesses and agencies went into our communities to serve those in need. Projects took place at 71 different sites like shelters, senior residences, mobile home parks, and schools. More than 8,000 of our neighbors were impacted by Serve Day projects, and approximately $200,000 went back into our communities through volunteer labor alone.
