WHY SERVE

What happens when followers of Jesus from different churches unite to serve their local communities?
You'll find out on Serve Weekend!

ACTION organized the first multi-church Serve Day in June 2004. After seeing Serve Day significantly affect both the community and the congregations, ACTION continued the event as an annual occurrence. This ministry now includes schools, agencies, senior centers, and many other organizations. It has grown each year in scope, participation, and impact.

On Serve Day 2007, over 2,500 participants from over 40 churches served at over 200 community organizations, businesses, and locations throughout Ventura and western Los Angeles counties.

Our Purpose
To provide a day on which people can get involved in community service that clearly demonstrates the power of God's love through our unity in Christ.

Action - Serving opportunities connect people, meet legitimate needs, and are valuable for all ages and stages.
