Community Christmas Shoppes

This outreach provides an opportunity for you church to get involved in a toy drive or fund raising to purchase toys to be donated at the Christmas Shoppes. Low-income families are invited to the Christmas Shoppe locations where they can then “purchase” their choice of toys for their families. Families purchase the toys at 1/10th of their true cost. This allows choice on the part of the parents as opposed to just giving away a bag of toys that may not be wanted or needed.

The Christmas Shoppes have gone extremely well. In 2006, 2,400 people passed through the Shoppes, and 50 churches, agencies, and schools participated.

United Way Day of Caring

This will be a day that our ACTION volunteer teams can serve alongside several area social service agencies to meet needs across the county. Please let us know if your church would like to join up!

Responding to Current Needs

Please check our website regularly so you are up-to-date with current needs and opportunities around the county. We will be actively gathering practical projects for your church, small group, youth group, or just you to get involved in. Let’s represent Christ well this next year by meeting some needs.
